Sky Sports Radio covers the Sydney metropolitan area via its five kilowatt transmitter located at Homebush. Adding to the Sydney footprint are more than 104 narrowcast transmitters ensuring the Sky Sports Radio signal is heard in areas as far north as Tweed Heads, south to Bega, and west to Broken Hill. The narrowcast transmitters ensure a true state-wide coverage. Casual racing enthusiasts and serious punters should tune in to Inside Running with Andrew Bensley each Saturday from 06:30. Andrew, with Ron Dufficy and a team of respected form analysts, pass on all of the vital information to help you find the winning edge. While racing is the backbone of the company, we pride ourselves on giving our audience a variety of niche sporting programs with associated sports betting information. The flagship of these programmes is the Big Sports Breakfast with Terry Kennedy and Michael Slater. On air each weekday morning from 5:30-9:00 it is the state's only all-sports breakfast show. Big name national and international sports stars join the Big Sports Breakfast and, with a strong team of regular big-name contributors, we keep you up to date with the latest news and views on your favourite sports. Other programmes with a loyal audience at Sky Sports Radio include Punters Post Mortem with Terry Kennedy, Ron Dufficy and Deane Lester on Monday from 09:00 to 10.00, Racing HQ Tuesday to Friday (9.00 to 10.00) hosted by the omniscient Andrew Bensley, and Sports Sunday (07:00 to 10.00) hosted by Jimmy Smith covers racing from 7am through the expert eyes of Ray Thomas and Malcolm Johnston and, throughout summer, all sports are covered from 8am with Peter Peters(Zorba). During the rugby league season Greg (Hollywood) Hartley also joins the team. This unique blend of high-calibre racing and general sports coverage broadcast state-wide has installed Sky Sports Radio as one of the leaders in sporting coverage in NSW Sky Sports Radio also has pioneered new digital radio technology with rich data displays and exclusive sports content currently available on the Sky Sports Radio digital channels. During 2010 more live racing and sports-betting entertainment will be added to the digital service. Digital radio provides listeners with a richer experience with the broadcasting of text, such as TAB racing and sports odds, tips and results as well as special promotions. The new digital service is available to Sydney metropolitan listeners only at this stage.
