I haven't heard/listened to CHML in many, many years. If someone @ the station reads this can you tell me if Paul Hanover is still with us. I spent many late evening/nights listening to the mood music he played and the poetry and readings that were pat of his great show. I'm talking mid 50's and CHML see more... was one of my very favorites. P.S. I'm originally from WNY...

Can't hear the ti-cat game on my macbook in Florida. It says "no playable sources found" and offers no solutions. I've downloaded adobe flash for mac but still doesn't work. How frustrating!

I just heard them advertise "Coast" as the #1 show. LOL! Red Eye Radio is SO much BETTER! Better still would be TORS back in their original spot. I guess we have to be grateful that they condescended to give us back a third hour. But it stinks -I mean their kow-towing to money and a pre-fabbed prog see more... ram full of such silliness. It's almost as bad as an infomercial and Norry is past boring.

Somebody must have been listening because we got back one hour, except that they cut out Charles Adler's show. I really miss him. I like the Sports Lounge show and I'm glad we got back the third hour of old radio shows, but we're still stuck with Coast 2 Coast. I guess the CHML directors just don't see more... get it: EVERY OTHER STATION PLAYS COAST 2 COAST. Why must CHML join in dumming down??!

I couldn't agree more! Give us back that hour of Old Time Radio! And yes...the way Mark P. played the shows in sequence was great. Coast to Coast is already on every other station anyway!!!

I share your feelings. It is so very frustrating. But it's usually all about money. Too bad they can't realize what a wonderful treasure they have with airing classic old radio shows. There's so much junk on the airwaves and I agree, too much Coast 2 Coast.

Sometimes I feel like I am just talking to a WALL. How much more of Coast to Coast must we endure? At least give us back the last hour of Old Radio Shows. I am so sick and tired of George Snooory and all the BS about Big Foot and conspiracy theories. Yuck!

I agree. Loved Lux Radio Theatre, Richard Diamond, Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Dragnet, et al. Isn't it a shame that the format was changed -and reduced for a syndicated show!! There are so few, if any, radio stations that play radio golden oldies anymore. When Coast to Coast comes on, I just sh see more... ut off the radio. Does anyone know if there are any other stations -Canadian or American- that carry old radio shows?

What? Jack Benny AGAIN??!! Please give us more Westerns and Detective shows. And why is Jack Benny on always on Sundays at 10PM? Can't any other show be put in that spot?

We loved the way Mark P. used to plan the shows so that you'd hear certain ones on certain nights and following the series in order. It really gave us something to look forward to. Now it's so mixed up. We still enjoy the shows, but miss the old format. We also do not like Coast to Coast and are hop see more... ing that CHML will at least hear us listeners for a change and give us back the hour taken by Coast to Coast. Are you guys listening over there in Hamilton???

Too bad the powers to be don't listen. But it's all about money, not what's good to air, not what you or I would like to hear. The programme directors could care less. It's a cut-throat buisness. If they think more people are tuning in to hear a syndicated programme already aired on many stations, see more... then they can rent that package and cut back on a local host or cut them out all together. It is a local fellow who puts together the Old Radio show programme. Someday, maybe there will be stations who value local talent and use it and not give in to the temptation to be like "everybody else". Alas, that's only a dream...

I recently discovered something from my parents' and grandparents' generations: Old Radio Shows!! They are wonderfully entertaining and are a slice of history as well. My only disappointment is that, after finding them on the Canadian CHML, they are now cut short in favor of "Coast to Coast". They h see more... ad something wonderful on that station and now have cut back in favor of a programme which, frankly, one can find on just about every other station. Why doesn't someone tell them?

C2C makes my skin crawl. As soon as I hear it come on, I either tune in to another station or shut off the radio. I'm sick and tired of stations giving in to these big nationwide packages. Too many stations carry C2C. I'd like to hear more of Old Radio Shows and less, if not none, of C2C. If I wante see more... d to hear C2C, there are many other stations that carry it on both AM and FM. I liked CHML better when there were more Old Radio Shows. They also do a great job in their sports department.

I hope my 1938 Philco can find a replacement station for CHML. I listen to C2C(local FM better reception) on occasion but like variety. Joy and the old radio shows(usually comedies for me) were about 50% of my interest. The other half is c2c,big band, news, classical and jazz,R. Masters, short wave, see more... etc. thanks, wilkes-barre, pa

Hi. CHML just went down about 200 points on the originality scale by cutting back their old radio shows in favor of the (yawn) canned garbage of "Coast". You'd think the staion would pay attention to such matters. After all, they DO WANT listeners, don't they? Even Dr. Joy was better than C2C. Late see more... night talk crap -and it isn't even live. I prefer the old radio shows or even Red Eye Radio to ghosties, goblins and aliens and other conspiracy theories. It's like reliving the X-Files, only way more boring.

Still hearing "Coast 2 Coast" after only 2 hours (3 on Sundays) of the Old Radio Shows. We love them, though there's too much Jack Benny lately. Let's have more Westerns, more Detectives, more Lux Radio Theatre, Stars Over Hollywood, Groucho Marx. Used to like when certain nights were dedicated to c see more... ertain genre and they aired in order. Doesn't Mark P. or Jeff S. ever read this blog?

We live in Jackson Township (Northern Ocean County) in NJ and LOVE the Old Radio Shows! It was great tuning in during the recent storms on the emergency radio. CHML, thank you! But we are disappointed to find out that the programming directors have given in to the "Coast to Coast" temptation. Ugh! Y see more... ou can hear that dribble on just about every other station up and down the AM dial at night. What a shame that pre-packaged audio-junk should displace such an original and wonderful program! We also liked Charles Adler and would like to hear MORE of him. Your sports reporting is great and puts some of our local stations to shame. Please, please give us back more of the Old Radio Shows and Charles Adler!!

Central Pa (Shamokin). Between Williamsport and Harrisburg. A station below 900 keeps drowning out am 900. Does not come in very often loud and clear. Too bad you cannot jack up the power and get rid of the "other station".
