I grew up listening to CFBC back in the 70s with Donnie in the morning before going to school and on the school bus just loved him. I do not listen to that station any more since it went county, I miss you Donnie in the morning.

Guest Was CFBC ever referred to as 930 CFBC? Did it change to 93 CFBC when the new owners took over?

Guest: What in heavens name were you thinking when you switched 93 CFBC from the oldies to a Country station? We already have a specific Country station on FM with 94.1 SHSJ. This was my favorite station. The only place where you could hear those songs that were so much a part of your life growi see more... ng up. How dare you make these changes! I miss Donnie Robertson so much. I grew up with him. He was just the best DJ there ever was. I suppose he retired now, but how could you take our oldies station away? Please, please, bring it back where it rightfully belongs. Please don't let this be another end of an era. There have been way to many of these in Saint John, over the years. K. Jones.

I am very disappointed that CFBC has discarded the oldies. This was once one of my favorite stations and I do not want to listen to the gazillion stations that choose to play nothing but country! This now includes CFBC,sadly. Please switch it back to the old format!

Please listen to what your audience is saying. We don't want 930 AM to be anything but a "Golden Oldies" station. We loved you as your were

It's a shame they won't give us more comment space. They might better understand the listeners. Three cheers for Donnie Robertson, Jock Oullac, and the DJ's of CFBC for entertaining us for many years. Geo. Donovan..... geo.graphix@live.com

I'm not certain when CFBC Saint John first hit the airwaves, but I've been listening to this station for many many years. There have been a lot of DJ's and radio announcers over the years, and a good selection of listening material, as well as news broadcasts turned out by this station. I guess I co see more... uld say CFBC and it's crew would be in the same category as one of our many heritage buildings. Many of us grew up listening to music hits of the 50's and 60's, which now are considered classics and no one carried this on, nor could make you feel the way the great Donnie Robertson did. Unlike many of our war veterans, most of which are gone, there are plenty of us Baby Boomers left. It's a shame we can no longer support CFBC, as even modern music today has taken over traditional country music. For those of us who spend a lot of our spare time on the computer, may I suggest "Live 365" internet radio which has many broadcasting stations of our favorite oldies. One station in particular,,, "57 Chevy" is ranked high for oldies music. Even CHSJ has internet broadcasting. Good luck CFBC, if I listen to it again it will be because the Oldies have returned, not until then. Geo Donovan... geo.graphix@live.com

I have a wonderful old 50's am radio in my kitchen, and every day for years we have listened to oldies at CFBC...aside from the strike, we have been devoted listeners. What happened to my station? It is now playing country music. I guess my radio has become a decoration rather than a working piec see more... e of history...like CFBC. You've lost a family of listeners.

Donnie Robertson has been on strike since June 25, 2012. That's why you no longer hear him. He is on strike with the on air staff of K-100 and Big John F-M. After years of abuse and no pay raises, the on air staff unionized and have been fighting for their first collective agreement, something MB see more... S Radio doesn't want to give. The reason CFBC is not on line is because the company feels their lowly AM station would take too much bandwidth and interfere with their 2 FM stations. The station is listed as 50,000 watts but is actually less than 10,000. Another infraction that MBS continues to get away with. The station is all but done completely out of Halifax. Frank Lowe who tracks the station in Donnie's absence is from Halifax and all news is done from Halifax. Even the commercials for local business' are for the most part done in Nova Scotia. Yeah. This is what the local advertisers are getting for their money.

This person who is taking Donnie Robertson's place is a lousy DJ. I can't stand him. I don't listen to your station any more. Please bring Donnie back. The Christmas music was bad this year, the little that I heard. Until Donnie is back, my listening will not include this radio station.
