Your Community, Your Radio

5/5 based on 1 review.

Dundalk FM 100 is a community radio station broadcasting from the heart of Dundalk, in Co Louth. It initially appeared on a temporary basis on ... See more 107.0MHz FM using the name of Dundalk Weekend Radio (or “DWR”), and its full-time launch came in September 2004 when the station moved to the 100.0Mhz FM frequency and renamed itself “Dundalk FM 100″. Our station can now be heard all over Dundalk on 100FM, and worldwide via the Internet, broadcasting 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are planning to make the move to 24-hour-a-day broadcasting very soon and we will also be compiling a large library of podcasts (or “audio archive”) so that the best of Dundalk FM can be heard by anyone at any time. The station is run by the Dundalk Media Centre, a community business which is part-funded by Pobal Community Services Programme. As a community station, programmes are generated by members who put in this valuable work for the station on a purely voluntary basis. Dundalk FM 100’s mission statement states that it is a not-for-profit, independent, friendly community development organisation giving voice to all in Dundalk and surrounding area. We are committed to educate, entertain and inform through our wide range of programmes.
