For years, or at least in the mid to late 80's and early 90's channel 105.3 used to play music like this. My mother was a regular listener of that station. I remember hearing many of the songs that are now played on Easy 101 on her car radio while being driven to and from school, to the mall, to the homes of friends and family, etc. My siblings and I were young then, and all we wanted to do was change the channel so that we could listen to music that was considered "cool" at the time. It wasn't until I got older and would come across songs my mother used to play as I was flipping through radio stations that I realized just how positive, upbeat, uplifting, and all around wonderful the music actually was, and came to the conclusion that many songs my siblings, friends, and I had thought to be so cool when we were younger were actually rather depressing. It's amazing how much music can affect the moods of so many people. I now find myself listening to a lot of the songs my mother once did. I absolutely love this channel. It's amazing just how much music can affect my mood, and Easy 101 helps to keep my spirits up. My mother loves this channel as well. When she's in town the stereo in her car is always tuned to it. That said, I'm turning into my mother, and I don't mind it one bit. lol
