With extensive coverage of ASU Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Baseball and Ice Hockey, no other station in town covers Sun Devil Athletics like The Blaze. Although news can be found on various stations in town, our news department brings stories and discussions from the unique perspective of today’s college student. The Blaze has always been and will be known for our support of local music. In 1990, The Blaze won the Phoenix New Times award for “Best Radio Station”. In 2008 and 2009, The Blaze was named by the Phoenix New Times as the “Best Station for Local Music“. Throughout our history, we have formed great bonds with local acts, some of who have gained nationwide population. As a champion of the local music scene, we serve an important role of helping new local bands spread the word about their music and this is a flag we proudly fly.
