New Life Radio was started as KNLR in 1984 by Terry Cowan. Terry has always had a passion for the gospel and radio. He combined these two passions into New Life 97 KNLR. KNLR plays Contemporary Christian Music and teaching. The KNLR signal covers Central Oregon and broadcasts from Bend, ... See more end, Oregon. The signal is re-broadcasted via translators in Christmas Vally, Fort Rock, Silver Lake, Burns, Hines, Sweet Home, Madras via different FM translators. In 2008 New Life Radio expanded again with new station KNLX 104.9 Prineville. Currently KNLX simulcasts with KNLR except from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM when KNLX broadcasts the Dave Ramsey Program.
