Put on the air in 1964, KSNO was originally on the AM radio dial. It was launched by Bill Dunaway and Barbara McGloughlin. Barbara wanted the station to play her Montovani records and Dunaway wanted it for news. It began broadcasting from the front window of the Aspen Times over 40 years ago. Through the years many Aspen notables were on the air, including Marcus Morton, David Johnson, Jimmy Rabbit, Allan Scott, Jeanette Darnauer, Pat Bingham, Michael Chandler, Bill Hogue, Stev Straight, Bobby Mason, Kenny Thomas, Jeffery Evans, and many others.
