My mother is in tears since KBOQ shut down. She has listened to classical music in the background nearly her whole adult life, and cannot afford $40/mo. internet fees just to listen to the radio. Bring back a classical station, PLEASE!!!

I don't really miss KBOQ as the last several years of programming had not been very interesting. My comment on the current offering has to do with the fidelity of the signal. There is no bass. It sounds as if it have been EQed with the lows depressed and the upper end raised. Like you might do if yo see more... u had poor hearing. Making it sound like an early Sony CD player. Please someone actually take a listen. If you can not hear it on the studio system, take a listen at home or even on a car radio.Compared to other stations it has no guts or body, if you turn the volume up to make it listenable the highs clean your ears out. Good luck. Ron www.rcjlm3@yahoo.com

So used to falling asleep to classical music...and so disappointed not to find it. A little high brow was a welcome treat any time of day. New format is just the same old "oldies."

Shame on Mapleton Communications for changing the format of KBOQ (K-bach) classical music to soft rock!! I am a rock and roll hippie girl from the '60's who loves rock, but we already have enough "soft rock" stations. Classical puts you in a different mindset and helps calm not only me down, but a see more... lso my parrot and my cat. I know when I used to put the radio on 103.9 my bird was content and wound never scream while I was out. I know many other bird lovers who have said the same thing. When I worked in The Salvation Army's development dept. writing appeals to the public, listening to K Bach in the background would help us focus and synergize to put words on the blank paper. You have made a big mistake and I agree with the writer below that changing the format was a stupid call! I too am also truly disappointed and I know there are more listeners out there than you think. Please admit your mistake and change it back, please!

Changing the format was a stupid call! I was shocked yesterday when I turned on the bedroom radio and heard something else. I thought it was my antenna. Classical is how I relax and recover from a prolonged concussion sustained at work. Boston won't help. The computer is no way to listen to mus see more... ic. I am truly disappointed.
