See more Carolina to carry the UNC football and basketball games. In the original days of the Tar Heels network, Ray Reeve was the play by play announcer and Bill Curry was the color analyst. Later WSAT carried a few Duke football and basketball games with Add Penfield. The personalities of the past include morning show hosts Grady Cole Jr., Oravl Cox, and Russ McIntyre. Russ is well known for his great voice and his community involvement. Bob Mason, " Music with Mason" covered the radio on weeknights 9 till Midnight. Bob took live requests and would dedicate the songs to his faithful listeners. Many listeners still recall listing to many of our past radio personalities. Our history is important to us here at WSAT1280, but we are looking forward to growing and we are glad you are here to be a faithful listener.
