Most of the 1090 gang were/are just as negative, opinionated and nasty as anyone on the conservative stations. "Facts" differ depending on who and where you trust as a source, and how deep you want to dig. Anyone who thinks they are getting “facts” from any radio/newspaper/television source is del see more... usional, regardless of one’s political leaning.

Hartmann is NOT hateful in fact he's peaceful and more highly educated that all of the propaganda right wing nuts put together. You don't have to 'trust' his facts - because they ARE facts you can actually check them historically! unlike Rush and his 'blather' which you can also 'check' and learn i see more... t is all fiction and opinion. Read up buddy

Hartmann is one of the most divisive and hateful personalities on the air. I don't trust his "facts" anymore than I trust Rush to give me the unadulterated truth (or Fox or MSNBC for that matter). All this ultra left (or right) blather gets old in a hurry. The only one who was at all entertaining see more... was Big Eddy (is he even on anymore?)

Sports station? In place of great programs like Thom Hartmann and Ring of Fire? I will never listen to this station again. I now hear Thom Hartmann on a local, non-profit station from Bellevue.....much better!

It's all about advertising $. Worked for a small local retail store that tried running an ad (ran for a week or so)...no benefit. maybe am1090 listeners are cheap or poor, but sure don't seem to buy anything (and that's what drives decisions on format). If Romney had won maybe the hate would have see more... driven a bump in ratings but still wouldn't have moved merchendise.

Gosh AM 1090, how is the move to sports radio working out? So low that you don't even show up in the ratings! What do your sponsors feel about that? I now listen to Chicago Progressive Talk via the internet.

I'm with you on the privatization of liquor, can't believe anyone would actually believe society would benefit from cheap, more easily available booze anymore than easy access to drugs. BTW, not "hippy" car, rather "lesbian" car.

Did not know Subaru was the new "Hippie" car. Where I live it's middle income parents and grandparents. By the way I voted against 1502. Stupidly written bill. By the way, how's that privatized liquor thing going for you. Cheaper booze ? Didn't happen did it ? Plus more shoplifting and black market see more... sales.

Many sponsors you would only hear from a few times till they figured out that ads on 1090 didn't translate to $ in the till (gov. sponsored ads at taxpayer expense don't count). Old Subaru's with 1090 bumper stickers don't count either if they also have a "support I502" sticker! The vitamin pill l see more... awyer, and autobody shop infomercials on saturday ended it for me. Fox is no better, but their ratings on a bad day are higher than any of the lefty networks.

Feb. 25, 2013, 4:41 a.m. GMT

Guest

Not true. There were a lot of sponsors. My biggest complaint was too many commercials. They certainly had many listeners. I still see their bumper stickers all over the place. Fox so called news is losing audience and the liberal network is gaining. Fewer and fewer people call themselves republicans see more... .

the reason they were taken off the air was simple: low ratings, no sponsors, therefore no $

On top of that Saturday's were just infomercials and the garbage that bunch of lawyers on ring of fire spewed (including all the add on ROF for their law firm trying to get people to sue anyone and everyone in the health care industry, no wonder some doctors won't take lawyers as patients). Had I not discovered 1090 only a week before the switch, I would have happily advertised with them but I didn't know about progressive radio so perhaps they could have done a better job of marking themselves to potential advertisers. The new format does not relate to my customer base. As far as why see more... the shows on the Right do better, it's because appealing to fear, greed and anger has more primal appeal. It's more exciting to listen to then suggestions we all work together and look out for each other. They are also the underdog right now which can create a tighter community of one group vs another. Some liberal groups do better and rasie more funds when the right is in control. Odd paradox.

A third sports radio station in Seattle what a shame. Progressive radio gone from the AM radio waves in Seattle. So I tuned in yesterday, being a sports fan and familiar with 710 and 950. Well 1090 the show was second rate at best and the ads were worse. How on earth do you think you can compete see more... . AM 1090, here's to a short life...

The Right's hate has filled the airways for years. The Left should have equal time to express apposing views. Without a balance of ideas being offered, the media becomes a propaganda tool for one side. Watch MSNBC for the Progressive view.

Remember radio is a business. If enough people listen, the advertisers will spend money and the station stays on the air. If not enough people listen then the format changes. If only a few Seattle losers listened to progressive talk, it goes under. if you want progressive talk, start your own s see more... tation and see if it survives

I listened every day to this station. In fact the only time I listen to radio is to hear progressive talk. It is ridiculous that they would put up another sports station instead of a station which conferred so much useful and important information to the listeners, such as Progressive 1090 did.

As a Canadian, I cannot help but think there is a concerted effort to smother the concept of America. The U.S. used to be proud stating it's beauty alll over the world (Voice of America) - internet live streaming is no longer available in Canada! This was not a big problem as Seattle (and other cit see more... ies) talk came on my radio after dark. Now ststion after station is either going to F.M. like 710 KIRO, or sports. As a major fan of talk radio, the U.S. has (had?) the best programming in the world. It is all going if not gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. "America" the concept is dying and I DO feel a great loss and sadness!
