AWP had previous experience in managing a community radio station due to running 3 RSL Licences in August 2000, February 2001, and August 2002. The Radio Authority invited organisations all over England to apply for the Radio Access Pilot scheme licence, over 200 groups applied. Consequently, we were one of the 15 organisations who were successful in securing the Access Radio licence.
Radio Faza has been on air since March 2002. Many local people have taken part in this initiative, young and old alike. Volunteers are always welcome to take part in presenting a programme or work on the reception, provide technical support etc.
