Radio Pacis Mission Radio Pacis educates and informs while promoting the well-being of our community - “Providing Infotainment for our community” Infotainment is a combition of the words Information and Entertainment. It means educating listeners in an entertaining way: Radio Pacis is not only a radio station, but a means ... See more of education for the listeners. Topics include health, women's rights, domestic violence, agriculture, development, schools, family life, and children's programmes. These topics are transported through programmes such as dramas, talk shows, features and up-to-the-minute news. Radio Pacis news coverage has a strong reputation for its full news coverage from the villages, the tion and the world. The news bulletins are offered throughout the day and night in English and several vercular languages. Radio Pacis serves the Community! Radio Pacis is a community based radio and so it differs from other commercial radio stations in the area. As a community based radio, the programming is designed for the integral development of the listeners. The programmes seek to entertain as well as educate and to provide information in creative ways that are attractive to the listeners. The community is also actively participating in several programmes: A network of volunteers provide information from our listening area. In every parish of Arua Diocese (altogether 30 parishes) two voluntary communication secretaries inform Radio Pacis about news in their villages. Those communication secretaries receive on-going training by Radio Pacis to provide news tips and stories from the grassroots of Arua Diocese. They coordite the booking of drama groups and choirs for recording sessions. They also promote the radio and contribute written stories to the diocesan bulletin.

THE MINISTER FOR YOUTH TWO WEEKS AGO SAID " WOMEN WHO DRESS INDECENTLY ARE TO BLAME WHEN RAPED" this statement angered so many women activists including honorable Norbert Mao who said the minister had sexism and was encouraging rape, and asked why people whose houses are broken into would not be see more... blamed for allowing thieves to do so.the minister was made to apologize in the parliament. what do you think?. Take alook at the way the women activists dress (Hon. Betty Kamyia for example)and those ladies minister is talking about dress. Ask your self where are the moralists at this juncture? why do people buy doors for their houses? put padlock on them? why does for example Norbert Mao put on a pant before the trousers, a pass word on his lap top? lock his car not only with the key but the remote control? has locking of car doors, houses etc prevented thieves from breaking into houses, stealing property? I think the minister had a point here, the issue is no body will allow his daughter, sister, wife etc to dress provocatively for the image of the family in the public and the personality of the female herself including Mao himself. i would advice Mao to visit his nearest Police station for how community has been taught on crime prevention strategies. do you recall how our mothers used to teach girls how to sit did you know why?. this is what the police call target hardening target removal which are some of the ways to avert crime. ....... WHY TEMPT THE THIEF? not only for their integrity but also avoid taken and received scandle it is prudent to encourage ladies to dress modestly well. women activists talk of leaving women to enjoy their "freedom" why freedoms are regulated by other laws? then the nation shall go into a leises faire state. people do things at will, no interferance in ones private life even when it affects other people. MORALIST SHAKA flynn
