Automation & Local Programming
We're very proud of the fact that most of our programmes are presented and produced from our studios at the Madejski Stadium - unless, of course, we're out and about broadcasting from an event in the area. Occasionally, it is necessary to pre-record some programmes at Reading 107 - though it's unlikely you'll notice this happen. All our daytime programmes are overseen by a presenter or producer, while some of our off-peak shows are automated. As audience interactivity is so important to us, please bare in mind when calling/recieving a call from the studio that we may record any phone conversation for use on-air.
Events & Charities we support
Reading 107 supports a number of charities by offering them publicity and promotion on-air and online. For example, in the run-up to Easter 2009 and 2010 Reading 107 supported the Thames Vale Vultures' Berkshire Egg Run by encouraging people to take part and donate Easter Eggs to go to terminally ill children and/or in care. We were behind the very successful Toys & Teens Appeal with the Reading Chronicle over the Christmas period of 2009, and with "Mel's Muffins" we raised lots of money for 'Feed The Children' based in Twyford. For the Reading Half Marathon 2010 we raised money for RACT (Reading Area Charities Together).
Coverage Highlights
As the official station of Reading Football Club, we cover all of the Royals' matches, with commentary on matchdays (including evenings).
