Christmas remake…You think it would be possible to have this remake of Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas Time played on the air or added to the rotation? Its modern and un traditional but of the age and time… https://soundcloud.com/dramatik978/wonderful-christmas-dramatik-ft-paul-macartney

I would be very disappointed if we didn't play Christmas music this year. It has been important to me and my family, and those other stations' country Christmas, or only gospel Christmas songs are not what has been a KC tradition. WE WANT CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!

I'm originally from K.C. area and loved the tradition of yearly Christmas music on STAR102. I live in Montana now and loved to listen on line to my "midwest station", (no one else plays "Christmas in K.C."). Sorry you all won't reconsider. Now I listen to K-Love Christmas on line.

You guys REALLY dropped the ball this year by not playing Christmas music. This is the only time of year that I exclusively tune into your station, but I guess not this year. Hmmm... very unusual way to do business.

So bummed! I had hoped someone in KC had gone back to the Christmas format beginning today, but no luck. The stations run the regular songs INTO THE GROUND all the rest of the year. They were all the good old versions o see more... f the songs, and we cant find it anywhere else. I hope another station picks up this tradition.

If this year you do not plan on restarting the old tradition, i guess i have no other choice but to buy some cds or download from itunes.... Very very disappointing last holiday season. I have not listened to 102 since your switch to Alice 102. There is absolutely nothing on this station that makes me it appealing. I am really curious about your listenership and your ratings since the format change. I used to be a loyal Star 102 listener, but sorry, this format sucks. Keep in mind, that both 102.1 and 94.1 are run by Wilks Broadcasting, and 94.1 KFKF will be playing Christmas Music in Kansas City this year (2011), but they are not starting until Black Friday at Midnight. If there was another station in Kansas City that was going to play Christmas Music, there see more... would no doubt be a competition as to who would start playing it first, as there always used to be with 102.1 and 98.1, and the Christmas Music changeover would no doubt happen sooner on one of those stations. With the changeover of 98.1 to a simulcast of 980 AM, and 99.7 "the Point" taking over some over some of 98.1 KUDL's listeners with their own format switch, the Christmas Music rivalry is dead. It is my understanding, that 102.1 didn't want to change to an all Christmas format after just undergoing a format change this past January... They were nervous that they might alienate any new fans they may have picked up after the format change. 98.1 is not an option, and it is true that 99.7 could start an all Christmas Music format, it is doubtful they will. One possibility I have heard of, is the old "Oldies 95" station that is currently on the AIR AS "94.9 KCMO." It is an Entercom Broadcasting station, as was/is 98.1 and 99.7. It is surprising that after all those years of fierce competition, that there is only going to be the one all Christmas Music station in Kansas City this 2011. Maybe next year, but for this year, it appears 94.1 KFKF is the only option, starting at Midnight on Black Friday. There is a countdown up on their website for anyone interested in checking that out! Hope the info helps.
