PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS Stray FM Future Hero Awards This was a special awards ceremony to celebrate great achievements among young people (7-16) from across Harrogate, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Boroughbridge and Ripon. All local schools were invited to take part. Categories included: the Courage award, Top Talent, Sports star, Best Friend and the Eco warrior award. Wear Bright for Sight week We were proud to have supported Henshaws Yorkshire college for young people by encouraging local schools and work places to get dressed up in loud clothes to support the event. Stray FM going the extra mile for Saint Michael's Hospice Paul Hartley from Stray FM's Home Time show has raised over £10,000 for Saint Michael's by running the New York marathon. Fundraising events included an on air auction of money can't buy items and a special send off party. Paul completed the marathon, plus the extra mile in just over 4 hours.
