WHAZ 1330AM (our flagship station) has been on the air for 88 years! One of the nations oldest radio stations and one of a handful still using its original call letters from 1922, WHAZ. In an article which appeared in the newsletter of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), the original engineers of WHAZ, it was signed on the air in the summer of 1922 and RPI operated it as its college station, until WHAZ was sold in the sixties.
