WHCB 91.5 FM is a Non-Commercial Christian Educational Broadcast Service. We began broadcasting in 1984 as the first educational Christian radio station in the Tri-Cities ... See more area. Since its inception, WHCB 91.5 FM has operated by God's grace as He has provided through the listener. WHCB 91.5 FM is owned and operated by Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation (AECC), recognized as tax exempt as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organizaiton under the rules of the Internal Revenue Service. Hunt, Jr. - Technician Public Notice WHCB 91.5 FM and its parent organization, Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation, are equal opportunity employers. For purposes of the Federal Communications Commission requirements the following is given: WHCB 91.5 FM is exempt from the FCC EEO reporting requirements because WHCB has fewer than five full-time employees as of June 1, 2007. Anti-discrimination Policy of Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation From its inception, AECC has practiced non-discrimination in recruitment, employment, contracting, programming, and all phases of its endeavors. Policy Prohibiting Political Campaign Intervention by Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation and any of its subsidiaries shall not engage in any political activity. Specifically prohibited are the following: 1. Endorsing or opposing, either directly or indirectly any candidate for public office. 2. Donating or contributing to a candidate’s campaign. 3. Participating or engaging in political fundraising events or otherwise soliciting contributions to a candidate’s campaign. 4. Distributing statements for or against a particular candidate. 5. Engaging in any other activity that may favor or oppose a candidate. The Board of Directors of Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation adopted this Policy Prohibiting Political Campaign Intervention by Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation and its subsidiaries on September 25, 2006. General Contest and Prize Policies No purchase is necessary to participate in any contest. Station contests are open to listeners 18 years and older who legally reside in the United States, unless otherwise advised at the time of the contest. Only one member of an immediate family or household may enter or win a prize in any single contest. Any one individual, family or household may only enter or win a prize no more often than every 15 days. Station employees, members of their immediate families and any other person residing within the same household, station’s affiliates, advertising agencies, participating sponsors and/or promotional partners are not eligible to participate or to win. Prizes that are won must be picked up at our offices/studios during normal weekday business hours (9 am – 4 pm). Prizes that are not picked up within three weeks shall be forfeited. Prizes that are tickets for a specific concert or event shall be picked up by 3 pm the day of the event or shall be forfeited. The station assumes no responsibility for redeeming such tickets should an event be cancelled, postponed, or not held for any reason whatsoever. Winners must provide social security number, valid photo ID, and meet all eligibility requirements and are responsible for all taxes on prizes won. Station reserves the right to substitute prize of greater or equal value. By participating in a contest offered by the station, contestants consent to the use of their names, voices, photographs or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes related to this or similar promotions without compensation. Should acts beyond the control of the station affect the outcome of any contest, the station shall be held harmless. By participating, entrants agree, on behalf of themselves, their executors, assigns and heirs, (a) to abide by all the rules and the decisions of the management of the station which shall be final in all matters relating to all contests; (b) release and hold harmless the station, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of any prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related or contest-related activity associated in any manner whatsoever with the station’s contests; and (c) that the station nor any of the aforementioned entities are responsible for damaged, late, lost, misdirected entries or communications. No warranty is expressed or implied. Station shall be judges of any contest and all decisions are final. Changes to these general rules shall be announced when implemented.
