Music of the Big Band era through the ’50s and early ’60s. We feel that many great vocalists and musicians recorded some of the most popular music of all time, music that lives as an American Standard. WJSK is dedicated to the broadcast of these standards. Our Traditional Jazz includes the popular music of that era set to jazz interpretation through the arrangements of many, including Dave Brubeck, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Coleman Hawkins and many more. The Big Bands sound off on WJSK with Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Harry James and Woodie Herman.
