See more The station signed on December 1987, and has been serving as an outreach ministry to families in this area ever since. WMSL is licensed as a non-commercial, educational, community supported station, and the announcements heard each hour are acknowledgments of businesses and individuals who have chosen to support the station with prayer and funding. All funds and gifts of any kind to WMSL are fully tax deductible as would be a donation to a 501c-3 organization. The Great 88 plays a mixture of Christian music favorites that fill the majority of 24 hours in each day. Program material is determined through the counsel of the Holy Spirit, the quality and integrity of content, and a level of excellence in production quality that is beyond the established standard of the broadcast industry. For that reason and legal parameters of the station license, no air-time positions are sold to program producers.
