KUWS began in fall 1966 as WSSU, the first stereo station in the Twin Ports. KUWS broadcasts talk programming from the Ideas Network of Wisconsin Public Radio, in addition to student-produced music programs such as "91 Jazz Street" and "The Dean's List," and public affairs programs such as "Final Edition."
