Love being able to listen to my all time favorite station...in NH! Radio is really horrible up here in the North Country!

If you grow up listening to great variety it's hard to listen to "format" stations. AOR, "Classic Hits" "Rock" "Alternative" stations are just to narrow in their scope and don't focus on quality. WXRT not only breaks this mold but shatters it! Their music runs from classic to grunge to blues to new releases, all of it focusing on quality. Their old slogan of "Chicago's Finest Rock" still rings true. Radio would be SO much better if their were many more stations like 'XRT.
Living away from Chicago now means that I can only listen on-line, so "Thank Ja" for the internet!

I prefer XRT to Pandora. I'd rather hear my favorite DJ's for the past 30 yrs between songs than nothing. Commercial break too long, yes. One DJ not following XRT style, yes (I change station I'm afraid). The recently added "inside music" recordings cheapen it. Don't need to try so hard IMO. Still a 5-star or more, no doubt.

While growing up in Chicago's so. side back in the 60's, I got tired of listening to WLS and started listening to WVON "soul". This expanded my musical tastes somewhat. This is the only station that plays the variety that I love. From Talking Heads to BB King, You can here it here, Living in Florida now and everyone that has listened to WXRT like it too. Tired of hearing Freebird and Stairway to heaven? This is the station!! Elmo from s. Kedzie

i have a review it goes back to the 1983 and 1984 when there was a musical evolution, theirs a post on u tube called Mississippi drug dog, its a band from Carbondale. Their were people from all over the state at this University including tons from Chicago, this is the year Gale Sayers was our football coach and we won 1 AA division champs. That you tube post is what our house sounded like everyday. I love my roommates, that's why I wrote this post. See what ya think. thank you. Jim. And the post is what some of the guys are doing musically now.
