KEYE-TV is a full service television station in Austin, Texas, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 43 and on virtual channel 42. Founded in 1983 as KBVO-TV on analog channel 42, it is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group. KEYE-TV is affiliated with CBS, airing CBS's primetime shows in the evening. ... See more In the morning, the station airs CBS's morning news and information program, with spots for local news and weather; in the afternoon, it airs CBS's soap operas; in the early evening, it shows CBS's national news broadcast and (mention local newscasts). After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts, followed by CBS's late-night programming. KEYE-TV also airs local sports broadcasts. The station was independent from 1983 until 1986, became a FOX affiliate from 1986 until 1995, and had Retro TV as a subchannel from 2008 until 2009. KEYE's channel is multiplexed with two subchannels. Channel 42.1 airs KEYE and CBS programs; 42.2 broadcasts Telemundo Austin.
