KING is a full service television station in Seattle, Washington, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 48 and on virtual channel 5. Founded in 1948 as KRSC and was the first television station in the Pacific Northwest, it is owned by Belo Corporation. KING is affiliated with NBC (National Broadcasting ... See more Company), airing NBC's primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station airs NBC's morning news and information program, with spots for local news and weather; in the afternoon, it airs NBC's soap operas; in the early evening, it shows NBC's national news broadcast and KING 5 News. After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts, followed by NBC's late-night programming. KING also airs local sports broadcasts.
