KUFM-TV is a full service television station in Missoula, Montana, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 11 and virtual channel 11. Founded in 1992, it is a member station of of Montana PBS. It is a multiplexed channel with its PBS and local productions on channel 11.1, PBS Kids on
11.2, Create on 11.3, PBS World on 11.4 and the TVMT simulcast on 11.5. The University of Montana journalism and radio/television departments and the documentary filmmaking at Montana State University contribute programs by staff and students such as "Backroads of Montana," "11th and Grant," and "Montana Ag Live." MontanaPBS reaches over 150 communities in Montana. KUSM signed on for the first time on October 1, 1984, making Montana the last state to have its own PBS station. Prior to 1984, Montana received PBS programming from KSPS-TV in Spokane; Prairie Public Television in North Dakota; KRMA-TV in Denver; and KUED.
