KOZJ is a full service television station in Joplin, Missouri, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 35 and virtual channel 26. Founded in 1985, it is owned by Missouri State University and branded as OPT (Ozarks Public Television). As a satellite station of KOZK, Springfield, Missouri, KOZJ is a member
station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its PBS programming, KOZJ airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. KOZJ is a multiplexed channel, with three subchannels. KOZK and PBS programming is carried on 26.1; on 26.2 is OPT ED, with replays of PBS programs, and Create is carried on 26.3, with how-to and lifestyle programs.
