WCPX-TV is a full service television station in Chicago, Illinois, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 43 and virtual channel 38. Founded in 1976, it owned by Ion Media Networks. WCPX-TV's channel has three subchannels, all with ION programming. On 38.1 is ION's basic programming; On 38.2 is qubo, ION's children's television specialty channel, broadcasting in English and Spanish, and on 38.3 is ION Life, airing lifestyle programming during the day, and movies in the evening. In addition to its ION shows, WCPX offers a few hours of public affairs programs. WCPX-TV was previously an independent station for Christian Communications of Chicagoland, then became affiliated with PAX TV in 1998, carrying family-friendly and Christian inspirational programs. From 1976 until 1998, the station used the call sign WCFC-TV, and it was shown on analog channel 38 from 1976 until 2009.
