WHO-HD Channel 13, WHO is a full service television station broadcasting to Des Moines, Iowa on local digital VHF channel 13. It is an affiliate of NBC. In 1954 WHO signed on air as the second television station in Des Moines, and was owned by the Palmer family, owners of
WHO radio. Programing was a mix of NBC shows and local shows, local shows often being favored. WHO-TV was sold along with all the Palmer broadcast holdings in 1996 to The New York Times Company. The station was again sold in 2007 with all of NYT company's television stations to Oak Hill Capital Partners, who started Local TV LLC with it's newly acquired stations.
