WRCX has been through many changes, including changes in call signs, from W51BR on channel 51 when it first started broadcasting, to WUCT in 1995, changing channels from 51 to 40 in 2002, going off the air for several months in 2007, then coming back on as WRCX in 2008. As well, it has changed affiliates several times, having shown programming from Network One, The WB, PAX, MBC Channel, and Black Family Channel.
