The original vision was conceived in 1984 while Roger de Brabant was working for OnTel, at a time when Christian Broadcasting was illegal in Canada. After many years of prayer and waiting upon the Lord, the breakthrough came with the June 3, 1993 CRTC decision which finally allowed Christian Radio Stations in Canada. Immediately upon hearing the good news, de Brabant started working on an application for a Christian station in Timmins.
