CJOK-FM is a 24-hour FM stereo radio station serving Fort McMurray, Alberta with a country music format. The station broadcasts at 93.3 MHz. CJOK originally began broadcasting on the AM dial in 1973 at 1230 kHz. In the 1980s, the station received approval by the CRTC to move from 1230 ... See more to 550 kHz, however, the move was never implemented.In 1994, CJOK added an FM rebroadcaster at 95.7 MHz on Tar Island. CJOK moved from the AM dial to the FM dial in 1997.

I heard you talking about the snow storm in Toronto. Think about this - All the snow we have in Fort McMurray took several months to accumulate. This is what Toronto is getting today and night. The traffic volume in Toronto is larger than the entire province of Alberta. When we get a snowstorm here, see more... traffic is tied up for hours. Edmonton cries over their little storms. I think Toronto has a right to be concerned tonight. They will also clear the streets faster than Edmonton. Most Edmontonians or Albertans for that matter couldn't handle the Toronto traffic or weather. The Albertan drivers are maniacs.

We live in Halifax, but listened to Jerry in the Valley in the mornings! We spend every summer weekend in the valley camping and loved hearing Jerry doing the oldies! We'll miss you Jerry!! Best of Luck. The Stewart Family in Halifax!!

CJOK will be getting a new employee in the near future. Gerry Neville, a long time employee of AVR(Annapolis Valley Radio) in Kentville Nova Scotia, announced that yesterday was his last morning show and said his good byes.
