Insanity Radio is a student-run, student-operated and student-presented radio station broadcasting on 1287AM in the Egham and Staines area, and worldwide via InsanityRadio.com. We take our name from the Holloway Sanitorium, founded by Thomas Holloway along with the college that would later grow to become Royal Holloway, University of London.

We broadcast 24/7, with live shows from 8AM till 2AM every day of the week from hundreds of presenters.
We're a non-commercial station serving the student body and the local community with chart and chat, new music, news and specialist music shows.
In addition to the hundreds of students who present on Insanity (making Insanity one of the largest organizations on campus), we have a large team of students behind the scenes making everything happen - marketing, promotions, programming, web development, broadcast engineering, music, production, news - there's something for everyone to get involved with!
Getting Involved
Are you a student who wants to present a show on Insanity? Maybe you want to help run the station? You can get in touch via the contact page, or visit us in Queen's Annexe at our studio complex.
While the schedule appears full we maintain a list of reserve presenters to cover slots where other presenters can't do their show, and all reserve presenters are given time on the schedule via our shifting slots at the weekend. Get in touch and get on the reserve list if you're interested in presenting on Insanity! Reserve presenters are typically the first presenters consulted when slots open up on the schedule.
There are also positions available for the various teams and departments of Insanity, where you can help by presenting shows, researching material, making posters and decorations for events, choosing and uploading new music to our system, or even by helping in the day to day technical challenges that go with running any radio station. Contact the head of the relevant department if you're interested in becoming a team member for:

If you're interested in helping in another capacity, email the station management or the relevant department head and get in touch!
