Radio Baldwin - WHEP - AM 1310 - Foley, Al

News- Talk- Sports- Oldies- Trading Post

WHEP has been the voice of Baldwin County since 1953. Serving the community with up to date weather, news, and local sporting events we hope ... See more to make your experience with us an eventful one. WHEP first went on the air on May 31, 1953 when Howard E. Pill (H.E.P.) came to south Alabama along with a young man by the name of Jim Stewart - both determined to bring quality radio broadcasting to a growing Baldwin County. In 1961, Stewart acquired full ownership of WHEP and since Baldwin's first station went on the air nearly fifty years ago, the county has grown by leaps and bounds. So has WHEP! Since our early days on the AM dial, we've expanded our voice to Riviera Cable channel 7 and can now even be heard around the world - 24 hours a day - on the Internet! WHEP has a variety of programming that is tailor-made for you, the listener. Radio Baldwin features CNN Radio News, Baldwin County news and weather, and Alabama Radio Network News. We also bring you CNN and CBS Radio Sports, Foley Lions varsity football, Auburn athletics, and Atlanta Braves baseball. You can also get a weekly look inside your favorite local teams with our three football review programs featuring the head coaches of Foley, Robertsdale, and Gulf Shores High Schools. Bringing all the prep sports action into perspective each week is the Gulf Coast Newspapers Sportswriters Roundtable with John Underwood - Saturdays at 8:05 A.M. The Ludlow Porch Show brightens your day beginning at 8:07 A.M. during the week and the Trading Post is always a favorite six days a week. We also air a variety of feature programs to inform and entertain you. And don't forget weekday afternoons when we play the melodies you can't forget! WHEP is your home town station - still locally owned and operated.
