!. Stop by the Art Gallery & Framing on the Square in Maartinsville on Tuesdays 9-2 to watch handmade rug weaving prepared on an one hundred year old loom. Weaver, Christine Maxwell, will explain the process and show examples of her work. 2.On June 13 and 14, 20 and 21st, stop by the Art Gallery see more... and Framing on the Square to meet new associate, Ida Alice Sichting. Ida Alice has been a Home Decorator for years and she has a wealth of information about home design. Bring your decorating questions to the Art Gallery & Framing and ask Ida Alice. 3. On Tuesday June 19th, Sue Hayden, a jewelry designer, will be at the Art Gallery and Framing on the square demonstrating how she creates her handmade bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. 4. The landscapes of Tom Greene will be on display at the Art Gallery & Framing on the Square in Martinsville from now until July 10th. Mr, Greene's works have been displayed in galleries all over the USA and he has won dozens of awards both from the Hoosier Salon to national competitions. 5. The Wonder of kinetic Art -Mobiles, by Joe Krutulis, are still hanging at the Art Gallery and Framing on the Square. Bring the children young and young at heart to see this art in motion. 6. On Saturday July 7th at 10am, the Art Gallery & Framing will host a free workshop on "How to select the right frame and matt" for your 4-H or Open Class photos, drawings, and paintings. Framer and artist, Kathryn Maxwell will illustrate how color, textures, and designs can enhance or detract your artwork. You may call to reserve a spot at 342-0153. 7. There will be an Open House at the Art Gallery & Framing on Friday, July 13th from 5:30 to 8pm to introduce the artist, Walter Gibson, a local experimental landscape artist, and to meet others artists that have displayed their art in the Gallery. Mr. Gibson is an engineer turned artist, like Joe Krutulis. You will find his work intriguing. 8. Artist, Walter Gibson's Acrylic surreal landscapes, will be on display at the Art Gallery & Framing July 10th through August.
