Knowing Christ and Making Him Know

The idea for a radio station was conceived by French Camp Academy President H. Richard Cannon while he was on the mission field in New ... See more Guinea. He wanted a radio station with a three-fold mission: # To promote the philosophy of French Camp Academy # To teach our young people hands-on radio # To put back into FCA all income over expenses WFCA supports French Camp Academy's philosophy by providing our listeners with the daily message of God's love as we work and worship together. Since we went on-air in 1984, we have trained hundreds of students in the radio station. While some students have trained only in production and on-air, others have trained in sales, music, and receptionist work. Students can begin training their 10th grade year and must express a desire to work in radio. Several of our students have continued to work with us on a part-time basis after graduation from FCA. WFCA is a commercial non-profit station that has grown from 10 customers in 1984 to 250 today with some of the original 10 still with us. Our sales have grown from $10,000 to $600,000 and all "profit" goes back into the support of FCA. WFCA is located off the historic Natchez Trace Parkway on mile marker 181 in French Camp, MS. WFCA began as flagship station for Mississippi State University carrying Football, Men's and Women's Basketball and Baseball in 1999.
