WGTB was founded as the georgetown broadcasting system in 1946 by Rev. Francis Hayden, S.J. In its earliest incarnation, the station was primarily an outlet for news and public affairs programming. The station developed “The Georgetown Forum” during the 1950s which became famous for hosting notable public figures and scholars ... See more to discuss the topics of the day. At that time, the studio was located in Healy Hall, and it would often receive complaints from the physics department, also located at the time in Healy Hall, that radio waves coming from the studio were interfering with their instruments.

Can't wait to come on air and talk about the book and the estatic high of returning to school.

Dear Sir or Madam, During the summer of 2010, I wrote a book about the redemptive joy of returning back to college after years of procrastination. Not only has it deterred me from the bitterness of suffering from the recession, it has given me new life and hope for a peaceful future. The title of m see more... y book is Lazarus Man “Return to the Howard Universe”. It was not a ploy or by accident that I chose this title. This is the best description of a renewed life that I could imagine. The basics premise of the book is about the mental ramifications of being an older student on a college campus, the do’s and don’ts as I experienced them and the enormous satisfaction in making this choice. There are many messages intertwined in my story, the amazing attitude of the professors, the students as well as the good and the bad of dealing with college administrators. This is a little something for everybody, irrespective of race, age or gender. All in all, I like to think that it presents an alternative to the depression one gets when it feels like you’ve done all you can do. This is a message that I am proud to share, I would love to be your guest. You can take a look at the book prior to me coming for interview through the following website, http://www.publishamerica.net/product36988.html.
