Not sure if you have heard, but "Cowboy For A Cure" is coming into your town. Johnny Warnshuis is riding from Redding, CA. where his mother lives. He is riding on horseback with no on the road support to Time Square in New York. His only support is the love and kindness of the people he meets along
the way. They have been amazing, with food and lodging for him and his horses. When he has no offers for a place to stay, he unrolls his bedroll and makes camp. This is to raise awareness of a rare disease that affects his mother Sally and one or two in 100,000. They suffer from a rare disease called GBS/CIDP, which affects the peripheral nerves. Johnny is working with many foundations including but not limited to GBS/CIDP at: WWW.GBS-CIDP.ORG, and John Wayne Cancer Institute at: WWW.JWCI.ORG. You can go cowboyforacure.com to check out Johnny and his ride. If you can help with horse boarding, feed, or equipment, that is always needed. Right now he has almost 3000 miles in the saddle and is shooting for 4000 by the time the ride is over. He is hoping to ride to Paris, TN. where hopefully he can have a cigar with Hank Williams Jr. and Kid Rock and possibly get them involved in the cause. He will be in McKenzie, TN. on Mar. 16th and plans on staying overnight and needs a place to keep his horses, get a hot shower and maybe even a hot meal. After that it's back on the trail to Paris, TN. The ride was supposed to end in Time Square on Sept. 11, but as it has progressed it looks like he could ride in sometime in late July. At the end of his ride, he hopes to get married to his fiancé, Miss Sherree Hogg. has been rewarded already by the love and kindness of the people he has met on his journey, but still can use all the help he can get. If you happen to see him, even a friendly wave to say hello is appreciated. All the attention given to Johnny’s efforts is more than welcome. Thank you for any help in advance. If you need to contact me my cell number is 1-775-530-2211 and Johnny’s cell number is 1-775-762-4073. Email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Website is cowboyforacure.com
