Catholic Answers Live
I was brought up Catholic about 70 years ago. Over the years I have seen a great deal of progress in in many areas of the technological fields such as computer technology, the medical world and the architectual world, but I have seen very little in the relationships between human beings. Mankind h
as not grown at all, psychologically or spiritually. In fact, if one looks closely, you will see that man has grown very if any, for the last four or five thousand years.
Jesus, in his own words that he came to preach and teach us that the kingdom of heaven was within our reach, and that it was within our very being.
I personally have come to discover this truth. One does not need to wait until one dies to get a glimps of our Father's kingdom.. My question for the church is , why does the church not teach and speak more about the 'kingdom at hand?' A few of the Catholic priests do speak of 'Centering Prayer,' which is a step in the right direction. I would appreciate a response.
