See more times, and eventually settled into what is now the Mix Hot A/C format of the 80's, 90's,and today. The AM side of the current format is known as "Talk That Bridges The Gap" with innovative, though provoking, yet traditional broadcasting. In 2006, J & J Broadcasting purchased WMPL along with WKMJ. One of the first programming changes made in keeping with tradition was the return of the Jan Tucker Show to WMPL.
