Hi AJ, not sure if you've received the Sitka Salmon Derby Kickoff info, I sent it in yesterday. START Sitka Sportsman’s Association is pleased to announce that we’re eagerly getting ready for the 68th annual Sitka Salmon Derby to be held on Memorial Day weekend, May 27-28-29th, and the followin see more... g weekend, June 3-4th 2023. This is a longtime annual event in Sitka which draws fishing friends and family together to enjoy fun times on the water while searching for that prize-winning king. Prize solicitation letters have been mailed out and donations are starting to arrive. Donors names along with their prize donations will be published in the pre-Derby booklet which comes out the first part of May, also printed in the Daily Sitka Sentinel right before the Derby weekend, also in the Sitka Salmon Derby facebook page and of course on Derby awards night. Keep up with Derby information, the countdown and the prize list as it grows on the “Sitka Salmon Derby” facebook page. I have lived in Sitka for two and a half years and because of a co-worker's recommendation, I just found out that this station exists!!! I've been plugged in at my desk for the past two hours and have not been disappointed. Love the music, love the news, love the vibe! I will definitely change all o see more... f my primary listening devices to this station.

The regular monthly Sitka Tribe of Alaska Tribal Council meeting that usually is held on the 3rd Wednesday has been rescheduled to December 8th. It will be held at 6:30 pm via zoom

Your comment about the vaccine was incorrect. 50.32% of Sitka’s population 3488 people are FULLY vaccinated, and another 4242 people or 61% of Sitkans have partially vaccinate. Since it’s a 2 shot series. Your comment assuming that half of this town don’t want the vaccine and that we should que see more... stion Government was ridiculous and not a community service.
