Fame beckons for Grammar School teen singer songwriter! Devon-born Holly Morwenna Rawlings, a 15yr old singer-song writer from Torquay Girls’ Grammar School, has made it through to the regional finals of the national Open Mic UK contest. Holly will be competing in Fareham, Willtshire on Sun see more... day October 6th Regional Finals and is proud to be representing Devon. She is hoping she will get to perform in the finals which will be staged at the 02 arena early next year. Her father Lee Rawlings says, “Holly has been singing all her life and has a passion that could see her fulfilling her dream. She has pure talent and when ‘in the zone’ is mesmerising to listen to and watch. I am very proud!" Her mum, Pik Rawlings, says "Holly Morwenna discovered her singing voice at the age of 3 and we were so surprised at her perfect pitch even as a toddler. Since then, there has been no stopping her, she sings all day, every day." Holly is hoping people from Devon will support her and help her achieve her ambitious goal of becoming a future recording artist. “It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do, for as long as I can remember, to be a professional recording artist. I remember making songs up when I was four years old with my little brother, when were on holiday in Scotland. That was when I knew I wanted to be a singer."
