Jun 9, 2:21 pm: 2 officers, bystander killed in Las Vegas ambush The following is a letter I’ve been sending to my local elected officials to see if they have the guts to act on gun control… my letter is meant to show the madness of our gun culture…and where it has taken us and still could see more... take us. If you believe in God you shouldn't believe in guns. ------------------------------------------------ The Second Amendment to our Constitution clearly says that the right of the people to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” Unfortunately, do-gooders and bleeding hearts have attacked this principle and forced law-abiding hunters and citizens to lose their gun rights while evil-doers and crazies run wild, slaughtering innocents on a regular basis as has just happened in California. I think it’s clear that the threat imposed by increasing gun violence can be handled only in one way: to arm everyone so that we can protect ourselves. I propose a program called the Compulsory Re-Arming Plan (CRAP) that would require all citizens from the age of 7 and up to carry a weapon. Those of ages 7-12 would carry .22 caliber guns, those from 13-18 would carry up to .38 caliber guns, those 19-20 would carry .45 caliber guns and those 21 and over could carry any caliber weapon, assault rifle, machine gun, mortar, or anti-tank device manufactured in the United States. This means the next time some lunatic pulls out a gun those around him or her will be able to quickly step in and bring him/her down. Let’s make our streets and schools safe again. Let’s all have guns.
