The Santa Cruz Fire Department is made up of 51 uniformed personnel, 50 seasonal lifeguards, and two administrative assistants. There are three fire stations, which house three engine companies and one truck company; a fourth station is located on the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf and is headquarters for our lifeguard/water rescue personnel. The Santa Cruz Fire Department responds to approximately 7,000 emergency related incidents annually, with approximately 70% being emergency medical related.
