In addition to independent power generating facilities WUOW also provides emergency management officials the ability to go live directly over the air in times of emergency.
WUOW, Oneonta Community Radio, is an NPR and Pacifica public radio affiliate operating 24/7 on the radio at 104.7FM and online at wuow.org.
The service area is currently the City and Town of Oneonta and with the anticipated approval of a new license, WUOW will soon be able to serve the larger population of Otsego County.
