See more as WCCL, it is owned by ION Media Networks, Inc. It is an affiliate of ION, featuring a broad mix of popular television series, theatrical and made-for-television movies, specials and sports. WPXL's channel has three subchannels, all with ION programming. On 49.1 is ION's basic programming; On 49.2 is qubo, ION's children's television specialty channel, broadcasting in English and Spanish, and on 49.3 is ION Life, airing lifestyle programming during the day, and movies in the evening. The statio used the call sign WCCL from 1989 until 1998. The station was independent from 1989 until 1990, silent from 1990 until 1994, affiliated with HSN from 1994 until 1998, when it became Pax TV from 1998 until 2005, i Network from 2005 until 2007, and Ion Television from 2007 until the present.
