Many thanks, Wendy __________________________________________________ Media Release: Psychs on Bikes and their Motorbikes see more... on the Big Ride 2015 Psychs on Bikes, mental health professionals who like big motorbikes and the freedom of the open road, are taking off on the annual Big Ride, this time from Melbourne to Darwin. They’ve already conquered the east-west run, Cottesloe to Sydney and vice versa. Now they’re going south to north, targeting mental health issue in regional areas from May 2 to May 10. Along the way, they’re holding free men's health checks at selected towns in NSW, Queensland and the Northern Territory. The first will be at Deniliquin (May 2), Bourke (May 3), Charleville (May 4) and Longreach (May 6). Psychs on Bikes are champions for good mental health in the bush where men, often isolated, can be suffering from anxiety, depression and alcohol abuse. “We'll also be offering a presentation to GPs and mental health professionals along the way, which we’re calling Psychiatry for GP's,” says psychiatrist Joe Dunn, the president of Pychs on Bikes.
