Rádio Fascinação - FM 92.3 - Itapetinga

The history of Rádio Fascinação de Itapetinga dates back to the 1960s, when the mayors of Itapetinga, José Mendonça Luna, and Itororó, Henrique Brito Filho, ... See more were planning a radio station for their respective regions. In 1964, journalist Silvano Fonseca set up ZYN 39 Rádio Jornal de Itapetinga. Silvano later tried to sell the station, but Henrique Brito refused after unfavorable negotiations. Instead, he decided to found his own station and invited his son Sérgio Brito and lawyer Dr. Laécio Sobrinho to become partners. After a few setbacks, Rádio Fascinação de Itapetinga was finally inaugurated on July 24, 1984. Since then, the station has been a hotspot for entertainment in the Mid-Southwest region of Bahia. Thirty years have passed since its inauguration, and the radio station continues to thrive. The author of this report was also part of the story as one of the initial announcers and wishes the Rádio Fascinação team well on its 40th anniversary.
