24th 08, after winning a five year licence from OFCOM We have been quite overwhelmed by the talent that nestles in these five valleys of ours.
How do you get on air? We provide training in all aspects of radio production - you can have the brief induction, which takes two hours, followed by a couple of half hour taster sessions on how to operate the equipment and put together a programme - and then you are launched on air. Or you could go on a six week, two hours a week introduction to radio production course, run by our experienced staff who have spent decades in the broadcasting industry. For more details e-mail radio@stroudfm.co.uk or leave a message on 01453 757492 click here for more info.
Our remit... Our aim is to get the whole community, right across the board, involved. It's your station, so should you feel that you have something YOU want to say, that just come along or contact us. We're located at the top of the High Street in Stroud - look for CLIX and Antics Model's go down the alley and you're there. Unfortunately the office isn't manned all the time, as we all also have our day jobs, so phoning and leaving a message or e-mailing is the best way to get hold of us.
How we're organised... We are a registered company, limited by guarantee, with a board of directors who meet regularly to ensure the smooth running of the station. We also want you to give us feed back, so become part of our listening panel, contact us on the number below, e-mail or write a letter to Stroud FM, 48C High Street, Stroud GL5 2NE.
