a more traditional mode of thinking. We believe people still like to know what’s going on in the hometown world in which they live. We strive though all our local radio and television programming and on this web site to carry those important local events people want to know about.
Our history is radio, cable television, over-the-air television and the world wide web.
WRPQ Radio
WRPQ AM 740 and 99.7 FM, are licensed to Baraboo and owned and operated by Baraboo Broadcasting Co. The company is operated by its third set of owners, the second set who live in the community and work in the business.
Cable Television
Operates a fulltime local government channel for the City of Baraboo on cable television within the City. The channel carries City Council meetings LIVE and monthly videotaped local specials. City meeting announcements and special notices air 24/7.
Over-the-air Television
TV-43 was first placed on the air in September, 1998. The station has always operated as an independently programmed station to allow time for local productions including high school sports contests, local church services and seasonal programming. National programs are selected from a variety of sources.
World Wide Web
We hope you like what you’re seeing! Browse often! Keep in touch with us at wrpqtv43@wrpq.com.
Something we’re especially proud of:
