CHRO is affiliated with CTV Two (Canadian Television Two), a conventional commercial Canadian television network. The station airs national news from CTV and local newscasts produced by CTV Two Ottawa, including a morning program and evening newscasts. It also airs national programming from CTV Two, with both original and classic television series and United States network information and entertainment programs. CHRO was previously affiliated with CBC from 1961 until 1991 and CTV from 1991 until 1997. It became an independent station from 1997 until 1998, then, as part of CHUM, was branded The New RO until 2005, when it became A-Channel Ottawa until 2008, then rebranded again as A Ottawa until 2011, when CTV changed its branding to CTV Two Ottawa.
